La
Villita Historic Arts Village was originally created to house Alamo soldiers (it is a short walk from The Alamo). Today, La Villita is a nationally registered
collection of artisan shops and galleries located near the River Walk. Many of
La Villita’s shops occupy beautiful 19th-century buildings, so it’s a pretty
place just to walk around. There are all
kinds of cool shops selling handmade jewelry, sculptures, Southwest art and
books on La Villita’s history.
I love these buildings!
A cute shop-kitty!
Guadalupe is very popular in San Antonio.
